American Legion Baseball, Boys State/Nation, Junior Shooting Sports, National
Oratorical Contest and Scouting to one of the newest additions to our programs,
Legion Riders, information and featured publications are the focus.

Homeless Veterans.

Welcome,

I want to personally thank you for taking the time to become a member or for
renewing your American Legion membership. You have joined one of the greatest
Veterans organizations of all time when you decided to become a member of The
American Legion Family. The American Legion at Post 998 is comprised of the
following organizations. The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons
of The American Legion, The American Legion Riders and Post Color Guard.
Together we form an unbeatable team.

We are first and foremost here for our Veteran members. There are many
programs within the American Legion that support our members in various ways.
Please visit our website at www.Post998.com or ask any officer or Legion member
and they will be glad to assist you. Now that you have joined The Lawnton
American Legion please take advantage of our facilities. Our newly remodeled
Club is quite unique and you will find our Canteen to be one of the best around
both in service and food quality.

We are in need of members to participate in our post Color Guard. The Color
Guard is one of our most visible entities and is always in the Public’s eye.
Participation in parades, funerals and other events in military fashion make the
Color Guard one of the hallmarks of the American Legion in its finest tradition.
If you have a desire to participate in our Color Guard please contact Gerald
Thompson at 717-780-6456

We are a nonprofit organization that supports many community projects, and
do so by maintaining a strong membership base. We solicit input from our
membership by encouraging them to attend meetings in support of their club.

American Legion Post 998 is only as good as it’s members, and
“We have the best.”
